“The Guide” is a mortgage industry term which refers to the rules and regulations lenders need to adhere to while doing business with Freddie Mac. Freddie’s main competitor, Fannie Mae, had just released an updated user experience of their guide and Freddie was eager to rethink their existing product. I consulted with their key stakeholders to design a new solution that addressed and fixed all of their existing user pain points and transitioned their current outdated website into a modern browser-based application.
